Korean National Anthems

The National Anthem of South Korea - Aegukga - YouTube

Lyrics :
Until the day when the East Sea's waters and
Mt. Baekdu are dry and worn away,
God protect and preserve us.
Long live our nation!
Three thousand Li of splendid rivers and mountains,
filled with Roses of Sharon;
Great Korean People,
stay true to the Great Korean way.
The pine tree atop foremountain
stands firmly unchanged under wind
and frost as if wrapped in armour,
as is our resilient spirit.
Three thousand Li of splendid rivers and mountains,
filled with Roses of Sharon;
Great Korean People,
stay true to the Great Korean way.
Autumn sky is void and vast,
high and cloudless,
the bright moon is our heart,
undivided and true.
Three thousand Li of splendid rivers and mountains,
filled with Roses of Sharon;
Great Korean People,
stay true to the Great Korean way.
With this spirit and this mind,
give all loyalty,
in suffering or in joy,
love the country.
Three thousand Li of splendid rivers and mountains,
filled with Roses of Sharon;
Great Korean People,
stay true to the Great Korean way.

Lyrics:
Let morning shine on the rivers and mountains of this land,
Three thousand ri* abundant with natural wealth.
This is my beautiful fatherland
With a history of five millennia,
The glory of a wise people
Brought up in a brilliant culture.
Devoting our bodies and minds to this Korea,
Let the Way be obeyed.
Embracing the atmosphere of Baekdu Mountain,
Nest for the spirit of labour,
The firm will, bonded with truth,
Will go forth to all the world.
The country established by the will of the people,
Breasting the raging waves with soaring strength.
Glorifying forever this Korea, limitlessly rich and strong,
Let the Way be shone.

* The li (里, lǐ) is a traditional Chinese unit of distance, a standardized length of half a kilometer. A modern li consists of 1,500 Chinese "feet" or chi and, in the past, was often translated as a "mile."

Paraguayan National Anthem

National Anthem of Paraguay

Original (Spanish)
Verse I
A los pueblos de América, infausto
tres centurias un cetro oprimió,
mas un día soberbia surgiendo,
"¡Basta!" —dijo, y el cetro rompió.
Nuestros padres, lidiando grandiosos,
ilustraron su gloria marcial;
y trozada la augusta diadema,
enalzaron el gorro triunfal.
(repeat last two lines 2x)

Chorus
Paraguayos, ¡República o Muerte!
nuestro brío nos dio libertad;
ni opresores, ni siervos alientan
donde reinan unión e igualdad. (repeat last two lines, repeat last line 2x)

Translation in English
The peoples of the Americas, unfortunately,
Were oppressed for three centuries by ascepter
But one magnificent day surging forth,
"Enough!", it said, and the scepter was broken.
Our fathers, grandiose in battle,
Showed their martial glory;
And after smashing the august diadem,
The triumphal cap was raised.
(repeat last two lines 2x)

Chorus
Paraguayans:Republic or Death!
Our spirit gave us liberty
Neither oppressors nor slaves exist
Where union and equality reign.
(repeat last two lines, repeat last line 2x)
